Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG: The Kässbohrer ParkBlade handles all kinds of loads

An additional Kässbohrer attachment makes life easier for skiing resort staff. The ParkBlade moves and transports objects of all kinds – quickly and simply!

Fun boxes, rainbow rails and flat rails are just some of the many elements used in snow parks these days. They are extremely popular with boarders and skiers alike and an indispensable feature of any snow park. To ensure that these attractions continue to entertain the visitors, the park’s design must be constantly changed. The rails and fun boxes must be repositioned regularly. How can these elements be moved quickly and safely?

A valuable tool with many applications:
the ParkBlade from Kässbohrer

The park teams use various methods to redesign park layouts. To move them to different positions in the fun park, such items are almost always secured to the blade of a slope grooming vehicle.

Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG has researched the matter thoroughly and developed a PistenBully all way blade with fork-lift prongs for moving objects of this kind. Repositioning rails and fun boxes is now a one-person job, as is the transportation of other items. The ParkBlade sets new standards when it comes to moving objects in ski resorts.

The ParkBlade handles loads of all kinds

Fun park features such as obstacles, fun boxes and rails or storage boxes, garbage containers and other objects with the appropriate attachment points – lashing straps are only needed to secure the loads in extreme cases. The ParkBlade can cope with loads of up to 1,000 kilograms without difficulty: the load capacity per fork arm is 500 kg.

A clear view of the load retaining points and no strenuous manual work: just one person can move objects of all kinds.

Fork operation

The ParkBlade’s additional function is activated at a foot switch. The side sections of the blade are held in the position they have currently reached. Operating the joystick swings the ParkBlade’s two forks out hydraulically. The PistenBully is then driven forward for a short distance to raise the object, which can be set down again in a different location.

The forks are located directly below the ParkBlade’s snow grill and are clearly visible from the driver’s seat. Because the objects are suspended from the forks, their weight is ideally distributed. This significantly reduces the risk of their toppling over in transit and sustaining damage.

The ParkBlade’s serrated finisher bar is another advantage. When the driver is backblading the groomed fun park elements such as bank turns, tables or jumps, the finisher bar gives them a uniform, attractive surface structure at the same time.

The ParkBlade is standard ParkBully equipment, but can also be attached as an optional extra to all PistenBully machines in the 200 and 300 series.
