California and Nevada resorts: Summer means contruction

For many California and Nevada resorts summer means CONSTRUCTION. Construction is in full swing on Sugar Bowl's Judah Residential Project.

This season Alpine Meadows will feature a new winch cat for extensive high-angle grooming, an expanded terrain park and a remodeled base-area lobby and reception area.

  

Bear Valley's old Hibernation Lift is out of the ground making way for a new high-speed quad lift that will begin operation in the 2006-07 ski season.

 

The newest attraction at Mammoth Mountain for the 2006/07 winter season will be the state-of-the-art Top of the Sierra Interpretive Center.

Northstar’s improvement plan includes two new lifts, relocating the cross-country center, expanding its snowmaking system, adding new parking lots and additional terrain.
