Prinoth takes over the Track Machines Group of Camoplast Inc.

Granby (Quebec, Canada), January 12, 2009

The Leitner Technologies Group is pleased to announce that it will acquire Camoplast Track Machine Group of Camoplast Inc. The acquired division will be integrated into Prinoth which is the snow grooming division of the Leitner Technologies Group. With this transaction Prinoth enlarges its field of activities significantly.

The tracked utility vehicles offered up to now by Camoplast Track Machines Group show an impressive track record of sales increases over the past 3 years. The tracked utility vehicles were developed and produced by Camoplast for the following applications: Transport, Tool Carrier, Public Works and Vegetation Management. Due to the high level of technical sophistication and the unparralled service support Camoplast is the predominant market leader in North America.

The President of Leitner Technologies Michael Seeber states: “This transaction is a very important step for Prinoth to enlarge its existing product range. We are adding to the existing core business a second main pillar which is independent to the seasonal snow grooming business. Leitner Technologies has a dense sales and service network with almost 100 sales and service centres all over the world. We anticipate a considerable sales growth in countries like China, India and Russia due to the newly acquired product portfolio. This acquisition will result in an economy of scale for every tracked vehicle product from which all of the Prinoth customers will profit from."

Since 2005 Prinoth counts more than 100 employees in Canada and the US. More than half of them work out in the North American headquarters based in Granby (Quebec). The acquisition will be completed during the month of February 2009. The Executive Management and all operations, for example development, design, production, sales and services that were executed out of the Camoplast building before the acquisition will continue to be headquartered at the same location on J. Armand Bombardier street in Granby, Quebec.

“The history of the Track Vehicles Group has been one of innovation, technologically advanced products and customer support. This is due to the quality of the team involved. We’re very pleased that an industry leader like Prinoth is acquiring the business and will continue to provide high quality products that customers demand. Camoplast will continue its growth by focusing on its Tracks & Systems and Polymer Solutions Groups”, said Pierre Marcouiller, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Camoplast.
