This is the only new chairlift in all of BC this winter and accesses 320 acres of BRAND NEW terrain.

Terrain Park & Rail Garden

Our progressive terrain park & rail garden are a whopping 16 acres (6.5 hectares). Designed for the progression of riders and skiers, you will find an assortment of table tops, step up jumps and spines. For a good mix of metal to grind, you’ll also find minis, flats, rainbows, kinks, wide rails, and boxes for skiers and snowboarders to satisfy your park cravings.

New Groomer Arrives at Silver Star

Silver Star Mountain Resort purchased a new Pisten Bully 300 groomer this year and it arrived this past week along with all the fresh snow. The new Pisten Bully groomer will ensure more perfect groomed corduroy is laid out each night by Silver Star's world-class grooming team. Brad Baker, Operations Manager, hands over the keys to lead groomer Tim McCoy.

Night Lights, Expanded Grooming & Dinner Tours

Night skiers will be able to see more clearly with the realigned, high-wattage lights. Two Pisten-Bully groomers have been purchased, one will work the new trails on Silver Woods and the other will be used for the new dinner tours to Paradise Camp this winter (which the restaurant has been renovated to now include a full-service bar).

Snowbird Lodge

The luxurious new Snowbird Lodge will open this season, providing the ultimate ski-in ski-out convenience. Each of the well appointed 54 units are decorated with rich cherry-wood cabinets, beautiful granite counter tops, and feature heated flooring for exceptional comfort. Boasting some of the most stunning views on the mountain, a stay at Snowbird Lodge is sure to leave a lasting impression on its guests.

Snowbird Lodge is being developed by the Schumann family, the owners of Silver Star and Big White Ski Resorts, under the direction of Paul Plocktis, VP of Real Estate for Schumann Resorts Ltd. The Schumanns have built over 200 resort homes and have successfully managed the development of more than $250 million in resort property at Big White over the past 8 years. They have invested $15 million in lifts and infastructure in three years of ownership at Silver Star.
