Missoula/MT - Four chair lifts would be anchored in the village, the longest running west toward the top of Carlton Ridge, which heads east off the foot of Lolo Peak. Part of the southern ski area boundary would border the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness.

The final plan calls for a total of 10 chair lifts servicing runs on the westside of the Bitterroot Valley and the north-facing slopes off of Carlton Ridge, with one chair slated to go to the top of Lolo Peak.

A draft of the Forest Management Plan for the Bitterroot and Lolo National Forests should be out in spring 2005, at which point the public will have an opportunity to comment.
