World exclusive ropeway in Sattel-Hochstuckli and Garaventa

The Sattel Hochstuckli AG and Garaventa will construct the first ropeway in the world with rotating gondolas in the summer of 2005 to replace the existing 2-seater chairlift Sattel – Mostelberg.

• 19 Gondolas for 8 persons
• Every gondola completes two full rotations during the ride
• The gondola rotates automatically after departing the stations
• The whole gondola rotates, not just the floor
• Passengers can decide wether the gondola should rotate

The rotary mechanism is situated in the gondola-suspension

The costs of the new ropeway are approximately 7 million swiss francs. The Sattel-Hochstuckli AG is planning an increase in share capital of 3 million swiss francs to finance this investment.
