Silver Star Village Master Plan
Silver Star is expanding to serve our visitors better than ever! We're adding more accommodation, services, resort homes, and new high-speed lifts.

In response to record skier visits and increasing demand for accommodation, we've created the Village Master Plan. It's a vision for carefully planned growth over the next decade. We're committed to maintaining Silver Star's warmth and charm while expanding to serve our visitors' needs.
Scope of the Village Master Plan
The 10-year Master Plan is our guideline for building new hotels, hostels, commercial space, lifts, and a variety of resort real estate. At complete build-out, the plan would double Silver Star's existing bed-base from 4,200 beds to approximately 8,000 beds. The plan represents approximately $150 million in construction value, and will create an additional 150 permanent jobs and 600 seasonal jobs at Silver Star.
How the plan was created
The plan is the result of a consultative process involving stakeholders, community members, and Silver Star Mountain Resorts Ltd. All new development and installation of infrastructure will be in accordance with the official community plan of the North Okanagan Regional District and the Silver Star Master Plan, as approved by the British Columbia Assets and Lands Corporation.
New projects
The following projects are under construction, in advanced planning stages, or completed:
Freestyle Aerial Site Improvements
2 Fully Certified Biathlon Ranges
Expansion of the Pinnacles Suite Hotel & Lord Aberdeen Hotel (completed)
Creekside Resort Homes – Phases 1 & 2 (completed)

New lifts
The lift system is integral to the Village Master Plan, allowing us to maintain ski-in/ski-out access for all new resort homes and hotels.
Installation of two new high-speed lifts to begin over the next few years
The Summit Express – a new high-speed quad lift which will eventually replace the Summit Double Chairlift.
The "Silver Woods" Express – a new high speed quad which will open up new ski and snowboard terrain from below the existing Vance Creek Express.
