Peter Runggaldier – Collaboration with SUFAG

The “Centro Agonistico” in Wolkenstein serves as a training ground for the squad of future racers in the field of alpine ski sports. Under the direction of Mr. Peter Runggaldier, perfect training conditions are created, and a partnership with SUFAG has been concluded for the “snow“ domain.

Peter Runggaldier was a member of the Italian National Team for a long time and amongst his greatest successes was the silver medal in the downhill discipline at the Alpine Ski World Cup in Saalbach Hinterglemm, as well as the first place in the Super G World Cup. In the 1990’s, Runggaldier was one of the best downhill and Super G ski racers internationally. During his career he won two World Cup Races in the Super G discipline and made it onto the pedestal in the World Cup 10 times – amongst others in the well-known downhill slopes of Kitzbühel (Streif), St. Anton, Wengen (Lauberhorn) and Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Kandahar). One of the highlights of his career was certainly his participation in the Lillehammer and Nagano Olympic Games.

Now Runghi directs the ”Centro Agonistico Peter Runggaldier“ in Wolkenstein and is also a testimonial-speaker for the Val Gardena region.

SUFAG’s function in the “Centro Agonistico“ is to be a partner for the snow. It will have a close collaboration with Mr. Peter Runggaldier in the future and will integrate the results of the collaboration and the experience gained for the development of the snowmaking machines as well as possible.
