Fatzer: Splicing work at minus 20 degrees

Recently the splicing work on the new urban ropeway in Moscow were carried out by FATZER in an airy height and a temperature of about minus 20 degrees. The ropeway with gondolas designed by the Porsche Design Studio, conveys passengers on an 8-strand high-performance haulage rope, type OCTURA with a diameter of 46mm from the Olympic Stadium to Vorobyovy Gory, the city's highest point and the site of a new recreational area. The first section will cross the Moskva river on 30 meters tall towers. To meet the demands of the passengers, the gondolas will feature Wi-Fi, monitors, MP3 players, as well as interior and exterior lighting. Two of the 35 gondolas will be special VIP models that can be quickly inserted when needed.
