TechnoAlpin Snowmaker Days 2026

Mid-March in the Alps was marked by the Snowmaker Days. A series of events on March 12 brought together participants in Switzerland and France, followed by a subsequent event in Spain. With over 450 experts representing a wide range of ski areas, the events underscored a strong commitment to knowledge exchange, collaboration and ongoing innovation in snowmaking technology.

Switzerland: 17th Snowmaker Day in Grindelwald

Set against the iconic backdrop of the north face of the Eiger, the 17th Snowmaker Day was held in Grindelwald Männlichen. More than 230 participants seized the opportunity to explore the pumping station and discover the latest developments in service and software through engaging presentations. A key highlight was the presentation of xelom technology, which generated significant interest among attendees. The day wrapped up by taking to the slopes together and enjoying a relaxed après-ski atmosphere. Overall, the event created the perfect setting for valuable discussions and intensive exchange in a unique alpine setting.

France: Snowmaker Day in Alpe d'Huez

At the same time, around 150 participants from 40 ski areas gathered in Alpe d’Huez for Snowmaker Day in the French Alps. Under clear skies, the spotlight was on the latest designs and innovations. The spotlight was on the ATASSpro snowmaking guidance system, which was successfully introduced the previous year. The ski area – operating one of the most extensive and complex snowmaking systems, with around 1,000 snow producers, several pumping stations, and varied operating modes – has completed the transition from Liberty to ATASSpro. This setting provided the ideal opportunity to showcase the system’s performance and flexibility in real-world conditions, emphasizing the strong relevance of innovative technologies and fostering valuable industry exchange.

Spain: Snowmaker Day in Valdelinares

In Spain, industry exchange took center stage as well: the third Snow Meeting 2026 was held in Valdelinares, part of the ARAMÓN Group. Over 70 participants from across Spain came together to learn about the latest developments and exchange insights.

The events clearly demonstrated the continued importance of personal interaction and hands-on experience in advancing the snowmaking industry. The Snowmaker Days combined technological highlights with opportunities for exchange, networking and shared development.
