MND Africa Founded

This momentum is already well underway in Africa and the Indian Ocean: North Africa already boasts numerous urban cable car projects, and new developments are emerging across the entire continent today, particularly with the support of major international donors. To support this momentum sustainably, the MND Group is establishing its subsidiary, MND Africa, based in Casablanca. This represents a long-term investment with an on-site team, aimed at building low-carbon, reliable, and durable cable mobility solutions (for both urban transport and tourism) alongside states, cities, and their financial partners.

Xavier Gallot-Lavallée: "We are not arriving empty-handed: in Réunion, we are developing 'ZÈL La Montagne,' which will be the world’s first energy-neutral urban cable car. This is the exact standard we want to bring to the continent. I am pleased to entrust the development of MND Africa to Mehdi Caillis - Menadjlia, who has been appointed Development Director for Africa & the Indian Ocean. Mehdi knows these markets and the financing mechanisms for these projects inside out. Among other achievements, he initiated the urban cable car project in Réunion for MND. African cities will also move by cable in the future. We want to contribute to this."
