Prinoth / Leica: PARK PLANNING 4.0

At the Leica iCON alpine Info Day

On October 2 & 3, the Stilfser Joch was transformed into a competence center for digital snowpark planning. At the Leica iCON alpine Info Day, interested parties were able to have a behind the scenes look at the preparation of major winter sports events and to see all the steps from planning to implementation of the perfect park by the best in the industry.

The most precise surveying technology from Trigonos/Leica and state-of-the-art 3D planning of the halfpipes, jumps and landings in the demanding snowparks by F-TECH Snowparks guarantee a top-class freestyle experience. All this thanks to the premium technology that enables a maximum of efficiency in the construction and maintenance of a snow park.

Specialists from Leica and F-TECH, along with snow groomer manufacturer PRINOTH, guided the visitors through the Info Day’s diversified program.

Everything at a glance - with the snow measurement system by Leica Geosystems and PRINOTH

In the Hotel Livrio on the Stilfser Joch glacier, F-TECH and Leica presented their solutions for the future of snowpark planning, which were then discussed further in the group. Then everybody went up on their skis and onto the glacier where the PRINOTH X CAMP was waiting to be inspected by the Leica Info Day participants. The X CAMP is a unique worldwide pre-seasonal training camp for athletes of the freestyle scene. The project was digitally planned on a computer using Leica’s precise snow measurement technology and the expertise of F-TECH Snowparks. PRINOTH’S efficient snow groomer fleet ensured the implementation of the 3D CAMP design from computer to actual terrain.

PRINOTH X fleet: for the experts in the park

The participants of the Info Day were not only able to follow the powerful vehicles during their daily work in and around the park, they also got to see a special tracked groomer up close during lunch thanks to the PRINOTH GOURMET TRUCK. The famous snow groomer with a professional kitchen was positioned at the starting point of the X CAMP and provided the necessary refreshments for athletes and visitors.

With bright sunshine and a perfect view, the guests were reluctant to say goodbye to the Stelvio glacier, but at 3 pm an eventful day came to an end and the participants returned to the valley station rich with knowledge and great memories.
