Change in Management of PRINOTH

Sterzing. Klaus Tonhäuser takes over on 12 June 2020 as President of the PRINOTH Group following on from Werner Amort, who has led the Group so successfully since 2004, and now joins the Advisory Board.

After more than 16 years at the head of PRINOTH, the world leading company in the sectors of snow groomers, tracked vehicles and vegetation management, Werner Amort will hand over presidency of the PRINOTH Group in the middle of June 2020.

Werner Amort had been active at LEITNER’s since 1991, and took over leadership of the PRINOTH Group from Michael Seeber in 2004. A few years previously, in the year 2000 and looking towards the future, Michael Seeber had purchased the PRINOTH company, originally based in Gröden, and achieved sustainable growth. In his leadership, Werner Amort significantly boosted not only strategic expansion and diversification in the areas of tracked vehicles and vegetation management, but also continued new and further development of the product portfolio.

“As far as I am concerned, it has been a great joy to be able to take part in this success story, whether as the HTI Group or as the PRINOTH Group. I can only say, ‘Thank you.’ Thank you to all those who gave me this opportunity. Thank you to all my colleagues, staff, partners, customers and friends who have made their contributions over all these years,” said Werner Amort.

Klaus Tonhäuser will take over management of the PRINOTH Group from June 2020. He has already made a name for himself, firstly as Director of Rosenbauer (the largest manufacturer worldwide of fire engines), and latterly as Director of Poloplast. In his new position as President of PRINOTH, he will be supported by board members Horst Haller (CEO of the snow groomer division) and Alessandro Ferrari (CEO of the tracked vehicles and vegetation management divisions).

“I am very happy to be a member of the PRINOTH team and to be able to lead this highly-regarded company. PRINOTH stands for customer orientation, quality, innovation and sustainability – all of them characteristics with which I fully identify. Together with my colleagues, we will further shape the growth trajectory and winning path of PRINOTH and take the company into the future,” explained Klaus Tonhäuser.

Werner Amort will continue to support the company and will succeed Michael Seeber in his function as Chairman of the PRINOTH Advisory Board.

Anton Seeber, President of the HTI Group, which PRINOTH is part of, continues: “Werner Amort has, in the last 30 years, made an important contribution to the growth of our Group. First, with great commitment to LEITNER, and subsequently, since 2004, more and more towards PRINOTH. I am certain that Klaus Tonhäuser, together with the two CEOs Horst Haller and Alessandro Ferrari, will continue the successful path of the PRINOTH Group in the direction of innovation and diversification.”
