Sunkid: Moving Carpet renewed after two decades

The Arosa Lenzerheide skiing area with its 225 slope kilometres and many offers for winter athletes of all kinds is one of the top destinations world-wide. Lenzerheide Bergbahnen are now making some big investments in their popular Kinderland Auarara to make it stand out even more positively for families and winter-sports beginners. “We want to inspire enthusiasm about winter sports in our youngest guests with an attractive and modern children’s area,” says Peter Engler, CEO of Lenzerheide Bergbahnen AG. He understands the importance of an outstanding offer for tomorrow’s winter athletes.

After 20 successful years(!!!), the upper one of the two Moving Carpets was now finally retired. The new Moving Carpet uses state-of-the-art technology and, like its predecessor, is set up to be a loyal and reliable companion for children trying their first swings in the snow for a great many years.

“Sunkid’s Moving Carpet represents reliable highest quality. Such long service lives are not unusual for us, but they are, of course, also not matters of course,” reports Axel Halder, MD of Swiss Sunkid partner Borer. In adjacent Arosa, two comparable climbing aids from other manufacturers had to be scrapped after only 5 to 6 years recently. They, too, are being replaced by two new roofed-over Moving Carpets from Sunkid for reliable access to the cable car.

In addition to the Moving Carpet, Lenzerheide Bergbahnen also invest in a Sunkid “Swiss Cord” of the latest generation.
