Zermatt: Passion and lifeblood for the safety of guests
Time and again, the technical maintenance work in the Matterhorn ski paradise provides spectacular pictures. This was also the case with the replacement of the holding ropes on the Plateau Rosa 1 glacier ski lift, which was carried out by the Zermatt Bergbahnen mechanical team.
The employees of Zermatt Bergbahnen are passionate about their work and put their heart and soul into ensuring that guests can use the infrastructure safely and smoothly every day. For example, the two holding ropes of the Plateau Rosa 1 glacier ski lift were recently replaced. The 42-year-old spiral ropes were replaced with new stranded ropes while the entire route was maintained and skiing operations continued. In addition, the entire clamping plates were replaced on all 10 supports as well as in the bottom and top stations.
