Technoalpin: Modernization of snowmaking systems in Friuli-Venezia Giulia
PROMOTURISMO FVG: MODERNIZATION OF SNOWMAKING SYSTEMS IN FIVE SKI RESORTS.
TechnoAlpin sets great store by modernizing existing snowmaking systems to continuously adapt them in line with state-of-the-art technology. This contributes significantly to saving resources and boosting system efficiency. Last year, the snowmaking systems of five ski resorts in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region were renewed and expanded.
The destination management organization, PromoTurismo FVG, is responsible for developing tourism in the region and manages travel and tourism packages. It covers six winter sports areas, five of which were modernized by TechnoAlpin last year. These are the ski areas of Sappada, Piancavallo, Sauris - Forni di Sopra, Zoncolan, Tarvisio and Sella Nevea-Kanin, which, combined, have over 100 kilometres of pistes.
Eight new fan guns, eleven snow lances and 24 lance tubes were delivered in total. The technological renewal of existing snow lances was another important aspect of the project. Thus, a total of 87 older Rubis EVO lance heads series were replaced by TL4 models thereby boosting efficiency and saving on resources. An even better snowmaking performance can be achieved and top quality snow guaranteed by modernizing the snowmaking system.
