TechnoAlpin TR9: Better performance when it really counts

Having the right snow gun in the right place at the right time is crucial for the optimal efficiency of a snowmaking system. And TechnoAlpin is taking its guiding principle to new heights this year with the addition of the TR9 mobile fan gun to its TR product range. The latest addition - the logical step in the ongoing development of the successful TR8 - is most impressive with even greater snow output and lower noise emissions. The compressed air cooler with its optimal dimensions is vital for high-performance delivery. The optimally cooled compressed air improves nuclide formation, generating more snow particularly when it really matters - in the limit temperature range! This also means an optimized energy balance, which, together with lower noise emissions, makes the TR9 one of the most sustainable snow guns in service.

Nozzles with ruby inserts

Sustainability is more than just a buzzword at TechnoAlpin - it is an intrinsic part of the company's DNA. This is also reflected in the recently developed four-jet nozzles (4 nozzles per nozzle body). The earlier ceramic inserts have now been replaced by ruby ones! Ruby is twice as hard as ceramic and considerably harder than stainless steel, thus further enhancing the four already high-performing jet nozzles. The ruby inserts are highly resistant even on contact with aggressive water and high operating pressures.
Ruby inserts have been installed in the nucleators of TechnoAlpin snow guns to date. But in light of positive feedback, these gems now bring a sparkling touch to the nozzles. This guarantees high-quality, long-term snow output and significantly reduces wear and tear.

Not a single drop of water is wasted

The new ruby nozzles are embedded in the innovative nozzle valves, which are mounted directly on the nozzle ring. This innovative system allows each switching nozzle to be controlled by its own nozzle valve. A sophisticated discharge system using compressed air has also been developed to ensure that not a single drop of water is wasted. The TR9 nozzle valve and nozzles are therefore not emptied via a conventional central valve block on switching stages. Residual water is driven forwards into the air jet of the turbine by means of compressed air. The excess water is thus integrated directly into the air jet and then efficiently converted into snow.

Supreme usability

In addition to durability and efficiency, simplifying the work of the snow team is a central goal of the TechnoAlpin research and development department - hence the TR9 also has automatic height adjustment and swinging. The snow gun is therefore automatically placed in the correct snow position right from the outset. At the end of the snowmaking process, the TR9 reverts to its parking position to avoid damaging the unit. The TR9 is also impressive because of its touch display - the biggest on the market.
