Photos from splicing the haul rope! Justin Knight of Knight Equipment did the 2-day splice of the the 44mm cable for the 6 passenger chair. Knight Equipment Company, Inc. was founded in 1945 and does splicing, inspections, and electromagnetic inspections at the ski areas, nationwide, as well as worldwide. The splice took place on 195 feet of the rope and including 6 tucks. The two ends of the cable are laid next to each other, unwound, and then meticulously wound together.
