Vail Resorts: Shannon Buhler new VP & GM at Stowe and Trent Poole GM of Hunter Mountain

Affectionately known as the “snow boss” by her team at Northstar, Shannon was most recently the Sr. Director of Mountain Ops at the California resort. Shannon is bringing her knowledge and passion for the industry to the Stowe Mountain Resort community and will continue to champion support for women leaders in the outdoor industry while co-leading Vail Resorts’ Women & Allies Employee Resource Group.

Trent is joining Hunter Mountain after serving as the general manager at Jack Frost Big Boulder (JFBB). He brings over 18 years of experience with Vail Resorts, first starting in accounting and finance at Keystone and Breckenridge resorts. Trent's finance and project management expertise played an important role in the successful Epic Lift Upgrade project in 2022 at JFBB. Trent is taking over at Hunter from Russ Coloton, who is retiring after an outstanding 44-year career at the resort.
